{"id":55211,"date":"2019-03-17T15:00:23","date_gmt":"2019-03-17T22:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thecompany.net\/jason\/?p=55211"},"modified":"2019-03-17T15:54:51","modified_gmt":"2019-03-17T22:54:51","slug":"avengers-endgame-prep","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thecompany.net\/jason\/posts\/2019\/avengers-endgame-prep\/","title":{"rendered":"Avengers: Endgame Prep"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In advance of <i>Avengers: Endgame<\/i> coming out April 26, I&#8217;ve decided to rewatch a movie from the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marvel_Cinematic_Universe\">Marvel Cinematic Universe<\/a>Captain Marvel (which I saw in the theatres and loved, of course).<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s what I&#8217;m up to the the next 6 or so weekends:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3\/16 &#8211; <i>Iron Man<\/i><\/li>\n<li>3\/23 &#8211; <i>Captain America<\/i><\/li>\n<li>3\/30 &#8211; <i>Avengers<\/i><\/li>\n<li>4\/6 &#8211; <i>Avengers Age of Ultron<\/i><\/li>\n<li>4\/13 &#8211; <i>Civil War<\/i><\/li>\n<li>4\/20 &#8211; <i>Avengers Infinity War<\/i><\/li>\n<li>4\/27 &#8211; <i>Avengers Endgame<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How did I come up with this set of films? A couple things: First, I didn&#8217;t chose many of the recent films because I&#8217;ve seen them more recently (and in most cases multiple times e.g. <i>Black Panther<\/i> four times). It&#8217;s been a long time since I&#8217;ve rewatched <i>Captain America<\/i> and an even longer time since I&#8217;ve rewatched <i>Iron Man<\/i>. Second, I specifically wanted to focus on Iron Man and Captain America knowing that <i>Endgame<\/i> will likely be their last film. I expect Spider-Man to be around for a while&#8230; And finally, I wanted to re-watch all of the previous Avengers films.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m definitely looking forward to <i>Endgame<\/i> and I&#8217;m happy with the fact I was able to resist my completionist\/whatever urges and attempt to rewatch every movie &#8212; this list will be a good abbreviated version of the MCU thus far.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In advance of Avengers: Endgame coming out April 26, I&#8217;ve decided to rewatch a movie from the Marvel Cinematic UniverseCaptain Marvel (which I saw in the theatres and loved, of course).
