There are a few changes coming up that I’ve been mulling over for a few months and have finally found the tools to make happen.<\/p>\n
First, my “home page” at https:\/\/thecompany.net\/jason\/<\/a> is going to be changed a bit to become my Lifestream<\/a>. The Lifestream is a history of stuff I’ve been doing online. Right now it’ll include information from Facebook<\/a>, Twitter<\/a>, Last.fm<\/a>, and Digg<\/a>. There are a few others that I’m going to look into becoming more active with, as well (e.g. Yelp<\/a>).<\/p>\n The “home page” might also include some more prominent links to static stuff that people don’t check out as often such as my collages<\/a>, fiction I’ve written<\/a>, and the college papers I have posted<\/a>.<\/p>\n I’m still going to keep the blog, but the URL for it will change to something like https:\/\/thecompany.net\/jason\/blog\/ or https:\/\/thecompany.net\/jason\/doublereading. I have to look into the mechanics of changing my WordPress<\/a> settings before I do that.<\/p>\n The philosophy of the blog will change a bit, though. It will only be longer, more thought-out postings\/reactions to things. If I want to share a link, I’ll either digg it or tweet about it. If I just want to post about how I loved last night’s Battlestar Galactica<\/i> but don’t want to feel guilty about not doing some deeper analysis\/reviewing, I’ll just tweet about it.<\/p>\n I’m hoping that all of this will make me more likely to post things. That is the ultimate goal.<\/p>\n The one thing I do not plan on changing, at the moment, is the design of the site.
