\nIn an attempt to be an academic while not in school, I’m going to make use of my journaling and note taking skills and see if I can’t use this blog as a place to jot down thoughts as I read various books.<\/p>\n

To see how this works out, I’ll start with the book I am currently reading: *The History of Sexuality: Volume 2: The Use of Pleasure*<\/a> by Michel Foucault<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last week I finished reading (for the second or third time) his *History of Sexuality: Volume 1: An Introduction*<\/a>. Maybe if I get really ambitious I will try to transcribe some notes from volume one — we’ll see how this first experiment works out.<\/p>\n
